Committee to Review the Operations and Structure of
the Commission on Judicial Performance
In 2021, Assembly Bill 143 added Article 4 to Chapter 2.5 of Title 8 of the Government Code to create a committee to study and make recommendations for possible changes in the operations and structure of the commission and to provide a written report about its findings and recommendations no later than March 30, 2023, to the Governor, the commission, and the California Supreme Court, among other entities, and to make the report public.
COMMITTEE REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS Pursuant to section 68770 et seq. of the Government Code, the Committee to Review the Operations and Structure of the Commission on Judicial Performance was formed. The Committee held six public meetings between April 2022 and March 2023. Over the course of those meetings, the Committee received public comment, oral and written, from a variety of interested parties. After considering all of the information presented to it, the Committee shared its Final Report and Recommendations. |
